What does Reconditioned Mean?
Reconditioned products are restored to the exact manufacturer specifications by the original manufacturer in a certified refurbishing center. In addition, these products typically come with the added advantage of a manufacturer warranty. These items have been returned to original manufacturers for various reasons: use in field tests, use in sales displays, and cancellations. They are then cleaned, quality checked and tested twice. They are also serviced, if needed, in the original manufacturer's certified refurbishing center.
Are your products new or reconditioned?
All product listings will state whether a product is new or reconditioned.
Products that are reconditioned by the manufacturer have been tested to meet quality specifications, some items come with a 30, 60 or 90 day manufacturer's warranty.
The warranty is serviced direct by the manufacturer.

* Unlocked phones can replace an old or lost phone you got from your provider, or give you the ability to use a new cell phone model not offered by your provider. No new contract is needed to upgrade to a new unlocked phone. Having an unlocked phone also means you can switch providers without having to purchase a new phone!
* Please remember, unlocked phones are only designed to work in GSM Networks, such as Cingular, AT&T and T-Mobile. Unlocked phones will not work with CDMA carriers such as Sprint, Nextel or Verizon. Please contact your provider for further questions regarding GSM compatibility.
* For best results with domestic Cingular / AT&T service, select a phone that uses the GSM 850 frequency.
* For best results with domestic T-Mobile service, select a phone that uses the GSM 1900 frequency.
* If you are an international traveler, purchasing an Unlocked Phone which uses GSM 900 & GSM 1800 frequencies means you can purchase Pre-Paid SIM cards overseas and avoid high overseas usage fees charged by domestic carriers.

Cell Phones Information: GSM vs CDMA and Frequency concerns.
AlphaLion.com tries to provide the best quality of support for our customers, and with the large variety of cellular phones we offer, there are some factors you should be aware of. A large part of our cellular inventory consists of GSM phones.
Some GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) providers include Cingular, Tmobile, AT&T, etc… A GSM network differs from a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) network in several ways, the easiest to distinguish by being that a GSM phone requires a SIM card (which is not included). SIM cards can be obtained from your provider.
When purchasing a GSM phone you should take into consideration which bandwidth frequency is available in your area. Please contact your service provider for assistance.
The frequency coverage depends on the area and your service provider.
GSM cellular phones only run on 4 possible frequencies, 850/900/1800/1900.
Quad Band phones can run on all 4 frequencies, Tri Band phones will only work on 3 out of the 4 frequencies, and Dual Band phones will only work on 2 out of the 4 frequencies.
850/1900 are US frequencies, and 900/1800 are international frequencies.
The majority of our Tri Band phones are 900/1800/1900 which means they work internationally as well as on a US 1900 frequency (850 frequency will not work). Please check with your provider for details on the frequency in your area prior to placing your order.
Phones returned due to frequency issues are subject to approval and a 20% restocking fee.
All phones intended for use with carriers other than GSM networks are marked accordingly.
As the majority of phones we offer are international models, and are not assigned to one specific carrier, unless marked otherwise, the GSM phones can be used on any GSM network: Cingular, Tmobile, AT&T, etc… However for best service from your cellular phone, the above frequency regulations must be observed.
*Cell phones which are marked as unlocked ( being international phones ) are not capable of working on the internet. They are not enabled to browse the internet and will not be able to access it.
AlphaLion.com also provides you with certain CDMA and IDEN phone models which work with the provider specified ion the item description.
All phones intended for use with CDMA and IDEN networks are specifically marked.

Why is shipping so expensive?
eCrater does not allow us to use our normal method of calculating shipping, which is FedEx's actual rate. In addition to the actual shipping cost, we have $1.50 handling charge per order. Also, if the order total is over $100, we require the order to be signed for. There is a $3.00 fee from FedEx to get a signature.
If your actual shipping and handling costs are lower than what was charged during checkout, we will refund the difference through Google Checkout to your credit card.
